Anyone have an idea?
hey guys I am getting my vx8100 in the mail on monday, but I will be more then happy to wait an extra week or two, if the vx9800 is going to have a price drop soon, I would really really love to have this phone as I text message like crazy, but I dont want to pay that much money for it! please let me know even if you think it will go down!

There was some talk on Howardsforum about the price being dropped after Thanksgiving by a pretty reliable source. But like all things to do with these phones...when you see it then believe it.

If your thinking it will drop in a week or two, as you state, then I wouldn't hold my breath. It may drop after Thanksgiving as wwhizzard stated to promote it for Christmas but it won't be a drastic amount.

I wonder why the drop other phones so fast i.e. Vx8100, or am I just maybe off a bit in thinking the 8100 price dropped so fast!?

When the Razor and the Sam 950 come out you might see a drop but don't hold your breath

You should see a price drop soon, maybe by the end of the year...but most likely it wont happen unless Verizon and LG work together to offer a rebate.
Verizon has sold ten of thousands of these handsets over the last two weeks...if they drop the price after only being out for 30 days they would have many very unhappy customers demanding to be credited...
