Is there a way to take self-portrait pictures on the 9800? I hope so although it doesn't look as though there is.

Yes just flip the lcd up when taking the pic and put the dual lcd mode on and you can frame your pic.

Ok well since ive never done it before, how would i put the dual LCD mode on? So, once i put it on, then I can take self portrait pictures?

When you are in camera mode, go to options, and one of the options will be LCD Dual Mode (0),
