If so, how is the fit? Echo? Static?

Just picked it up today:

1) No echo at all
2) Battery life seems phenomenal
3) With the vx9800, pairing is fanatstic. I have tried 4 different head sets and this one picks up the phone instantly (so if i get a call, i hit the answer button, i have the call in my headset in 1 second)
4) The thing with these headsets is that there is always so inherent static if the phone is close to the head set (ie iin your pocket). However, when compared to the Moto hs810 and 850, this has alot less static - not enough where i think it effects the call at all
5) The fit is good when i position it right; it has this ability to position it laterally and horizontally. WHat i mean is that you can move it away and closer to your face and also tilt it away...

Great review, thanks so much for taking the time. I have the Motorola H500 and have loved it, but lately it seems to be making a horrible echo on the caller's end. My sister and my best friend refuse to talk to me when I have it on! I don't know what the problem is, and although I love the looks and comfort of it, it's no good if the person I'm talking to hears a terrible echo. I may try this one out.

Mary,

Upon further review, some edits to the negative side...

1) I have been receiving alot of static this morning...problem is im not always sure if its the headpiece or the phone as sometimes i just get poor reception but its alarming...

2) While the callers hear me fine, the lack of noise cancelling on this head set may be a problem. Since i live in nyc, i am always outside walking and i need a head set that cancels noise fairly well

3) Volume is still good but i want to try and ear gel head set as i want to see if there is a major difference.

I've been using the headset for a couple days now...and still not sure how I feel. I am getting static too...and I'm only about 5 - 10 feet away from the phone. Volume and comfort are fine, but I've got complaints from other people that they can hear EVERYTHING that is going on in the background.

Going to try this for another couple days...and then maybe give the Motorola 850 a try.

I have the Moto 850 and it has static also...

Static is caused be being TOO close to the handset (phone)...yes TOO CLOSE...Bluetooth likes a range between 5ft to 10ft to work best. Keeping your phone in your pocket or purse or backpack is sometimes too close and will cause static...its just the nature of BT in its current state.

Like I mentioned, I picked up the Moto 850 at Costco on Sunday. Here is my take on it...

- Very easy to connect. Took me only a minute to sync it up to my phone (would have been faster if I had read the manual). Stays synced up.

- When in standby mode, the headset connects within seconds...very fast

- People said they can hear me fine, as long as I was in a quiet area. (KEY)

- For me, the headset se...

Josh,

Yeh I had the 810 and it was ok. I hear the 850 is a little better, a little louder.

The one i am curious about it the new SE hbh-610. It has noise cancelling which supposedly works great (its also supposed to be quite loud)..

You know anyone who has tried it yet?
