I know this is unrelated to the vx9800, but the people on this forum seem to know a lot about new technology.

What is the best laptop computer available these days?

Before you can decide on whats the best laptop you have to know ea\xactly what you are looking for in the laptop.. that way your not wasting your money for features that you won't use but to help you narrow it down Dell or Hewlett Packard are the brands that I prefer..

tell us your needs and you'll get alot of feedback 🙂

- Dell is the Walmart of computers
- IBM Thinkpads are very reliable, great screen, and expensive
- Alienware is the *has it all* image to it... It looks..well Alien 😛 is expensive, and has high end features...

However, tell us what you need a lappy for ? Gaming, Surfing, Music/Video, etc etc..

Also, how deep is your pocket for a laptop purchase 😉

I'm leaning towards the G25. I need it for work, school, and mostly entertainment. I like downloading high quality movies on LimeWire, and also being able to watch live tv and Tivo shows with this notebook would be cool. There are a few computers that do similair things like this so I'm not sure.

Also, do computers these days do any cool new things (like recording shows) that a non techie like myself might not even know about?
