I know the 9800 can send/receive email from aol, hotmail, and yahoo. Can it also send/receive email from gmail?

You can use any POP3 or IMAP email acct, and even multiple accounts!

Yes, **IF** you have it set to one of the auto check times (15, 30, etc mins). If you have it set to manual check there will be no alert because you or the phone will not know until you do the manual push. If using one of the timed settings it would be just like when a new TXT, PIX, FLIX came in.
