Video Quality

I transfered some video files over (correct format of course) and when I played them it was choppy and distorted. Is there an ideal frame rate when converting the video? I expected the video to be good since I ripped it from a DVD movie. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which frame rate I should use; software?
Thanks.

I use the Imtoo 3g2 conmverter. Others would oppose. Once you learn how to adjust the settings then you will see your hard work play off. It takes time to learn so be patient. I am still learn all the tricks it can do.

This converter cost money ($29.00)

Once you get the converter try this:

What format are you converting from .avi or .mpg?

Do a test encoding - leave the settings at the default setting just change the Video size to 320 x 240 and the same quality as true.

Is the sound and video in sync?
No - Set the frame rate to 60 or 50. run test
very thing is synced? Yes

Here is a setting I used
Video code - mpeg4
Video size - 320 x 240
Bit Rate - (This makes the quality of the video run smooth.) try 128 (need it smo...

I sent you a link to download the video yesterday. You have 2 days to download from the link. Its a service I found that lets you send large files. It was a free service but it has a limitation of 3 days storage. Make sure you check your bulk mail also just in case the link was sent to your junk mail box. Let me know when u have the video. If you like the quality I can send another one.

i have the imtoo converter as well, it works great! only thing though is that i did not pay any money for it, look for a key gen on the net, i not even that computer savy and it took me all of 5 mins to get one.
When i do my conversions the only thing i do is set the bit rate to 150 and frame rate to 15 and all my stuff turns out great very very simple, and trust me im pretty retarded when it comes to the technical stuff to.

Sorry about the late response. I have not been on the forum in a while. I will send you a video later tonight. I got the hang of using the super video converter. I found it to be easier to play with then the Imtoo. I think its a better converter for novices. I still like my Imtoo converter because I am a techie kind of guy. Holla at you later.
