I have just recieved my new 9800 because the old vx9800 flash did not sync with the shutter. My sis-inlaw has the 8100 and her's does as good as mine but i think the 9800 has more selectivity. I have no intention of dropping or selling this gem. It reads my messages to me so i can continue doing what im doing. The vx9800 rocks. The 15 day customer satisfaction also is a plus.

So u are an employee of vx8100jjl ???

Or you bought his story and ur stickin to it?

Im not sure why a user would wanna pay 400 when they can pay 250. Hate has a price i recon. Hating verizon so much to avoid a contract and get the phone for $250. To buy the phone out right @ $400+ then in 2 days it simply wont do. Then taking a loss and making eveyone a major deal.YeahRight!

My calculator does not compute that to = a wise deal. Nor is it logical for someone to dump that kinna cash on a hope and be totally done with the idea before a data cable software or any support is yet established.

But to each their own. Best wishes.

These are the best posts, your opening statement of "i just had this phone for 2 days" pretty much sums it all! Im willing to bet that both your cd AND the manual are still in the shrink wrap!

Full size is there, memory is correct, vcast games are there, etc etc. You think 2 days is enough to master this phone 🙄 Stop crying and READ or USE one of the MANY resources you have Vs waiting on people telling details which end up being wrong half the time either b/c they are doing the same thing as you! You the manual, now there is a great start! You have the CD, you have manuals in motion on the verizonwireless.com support area, you have set-up guides on dts.vzw.com 😢

My suggestion for you is to be patient. New phone, new learning curve, it may be possible to go to the verison kiosk or store and hang out you will prolly find someone who has the info or you can leave your note that you left here on paying them to get ring tones on your phone.
It will happen. Im not certain why the ringtones are so important. Chicks may require them there. In time you will have them because your searching.
