Missed Calls & Text Messages
How do you guys know when you have a missed call or text message with this phone considering teh screen goes black after X (i think like five) minutes?
At first I thought the little light in the top left stayed lit up green/red but then I realized it doesnt. Can you turn this feature on or is there something I can do? Thanks in advance!

My 9800 with screen black (asleep).
With incoming Text Message, it wakes up and reports. I'll need to checked the Missed Call incoming as I just don't recall at the moment.

Just look at the phone!!??When you miss a call it will say XX missed calls.View now?,View Later.If you get a new text it will alert you with what ever alert you have set and then tell you on the screen when you look at it

The poster is saying, when you leave the phone on your desk and you come back to it after the screen has gone black. How do you know without touching the phone (to bring it back to life) that you have had a missed call/v-message/text message and or whatever?
That's a good point. I leave my phone open like a micro laptop on my desk often, and it goes dark after about 2 minutes (maybe less). I find myself hitting the "end call" button to find out if I had a call (when I'm away from the desk). It would good for the light to stay on for a long while, or until the phone is touched as a reminder that you have missed a call.

Oh sorry,In that case what you can do is go to menu then settings and tools down to #3 sounds.Then to #3 Alert sounds.Pick one of the 5 choices for example TXT.Go to reminder and you can set it to remind you once,every 2 min,every 15 min,or off.I have set mine to every 2 min.The bad thing is there is no reminder for missed calls.Hope that helps
