Is it possible to access Gmail through Wireless Sync?

I keep running into problems because Gmail uses SSL access, which isn't supported. The only option I can think of is using Outlook from my home computer to retrieve my email. That means my home computer must be on 24/7, which I personally cannot do. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and is there a solution?

Get the program Email Executive. Tell gmail to forward a copy of any incoming mail to your phone. You'll get a text with a preview of every email and then you can go read the mail.
