I’ve tried sorting through the posts on this subject and still don’t have a clear understanding, perhaps you all can help. I would like to get some contacts but most importantly my PCs Outlook calendar into the vx 9800. I have been able to successfully pair the vx9800 with the bluetooth on my PC. I then installed the “vx 9800 compatable” version of bitpim. In the settings menu I chose vx 9800 and com port set to auto detect. Then I would go to the detect phone option in bitpim and received error message no phone detected recognized. I then tried switching com ports manually all to no avail.

Thank you for your response. After lots of trial and error, I’ve finally gotten working, probably more user error than anything. Now I start bitpim. Use the calendar function to import Outlook calendar into bitpim. Then Transfer to phone. That seems to work. The only visual indication on the phone I get is that it powers off and then on (reboots?), after transfer completes. But I’m not complaining. Thanks again. 🙂
