LG V VX-9800

Alright people i need to straighten somethings out.I am not very technologically savvy. I have the vx9800 and a mini sd card. What will i need to put videos on my phone, can i get a usb cord that will hook up to my phone or will i need a sd card reader majigger. Now when it comes to converting the movie files, accessing drivers and getting the files onto your mini sd card, i am just down right confused. I have looked at many other peoples questions where people have provided links to software that can help convert files. I have not downloaded any yet b/c i want to know which one to choose.
