LG V VX-9800

No it wont work. No stereo BT headset will work with a 9800.

The reason is that the phone doesn't have any BT profiles besides handsfree and headset. To properly support BT stereo it would also need the advanced audio profile.

Is there anyway that this can come in a future update with verizon lg vx9800 or would you have to buy a totally different phone.

My first instinct (and probably similar to many here) is that Verizon likes to keep the features on BT limited.

Then I thought about more and more phones having mp3 capability. Then I thought about VCast music.

I would be surprised if VZ released a software (if its even possible) for the 9800 that supports the necessary BT profiles to use stereo BT headsets. However I would also be surprised if future phone dont have that feature to help promote their new music offerings.

What you are saying is that you can't use a bluetooth headset at all. Not even for Phone calls?

You can use a bluetooth headset for phone calls. He is saying that the profile for a Bluetooth Stereo Headset to work is not on the 9800 so therefore it will not work.
