When I look at this phone when I check the signal strength I see The EV (EVDO) and 1X. But my question is why does the EVDO and the 1X have a different signal strength sometimes? Example I have 4 bars of EVDO and 3 bars of 1X. Thanks

That could be if you are pulling your EVDO signal from a different tower (further away or having more obstructions between you and the tower) than you are pulling your 1X signal from. OR, it could be that the 1X signal is coming in on the 850 band and EVDO is on the 1900 band thereby not penetrating mountains and buildings very good.
