When ever i charge this phone for the day or watever reason. The front screen or the main screen, smaller backlight is ALWAYS on. Is there a way to turn it off?

I feel like its burning the bulb out or something

No way to turn it off. I have had the VX8000, VX8100 and now the VX9800. All have been that way.

I have been having the same reaction to my phone. I've had it for a month so far and I have been pleased by everything. I love the portability and the usability. Everywhere I go I get lots of comments and looks of awe and it's even saved me on some occasions when I was out and about and needed directions quickly.

Along with the fact that I got it for only $99 I can say that I am honestly satisfied with the LG V

heads up guys. verizon just revised the txt packages. 5 bucks gets you 250 txt OR PIX instead of just pix. plus the in bundle switched. 10 gets you unlimited txt and pix to other verizon people plus 500 outside of verizon. 15 get you IN plus 1000 and 20 gets the IN plus 2500. they aren't for everybody but i think some people could really benefit.

*correction, I personally cannot post in forums on THIS website (phonescoop). but i can do it on various other forums and sites..

been trying to get it to work for this site, but when i load phonescoop on my phone, i only see two links : Latest News, and Latest Phones.

heh, anyone got it to work?

i tried loading the forum key but that didn't work. haha 🙂 guess php isn't integrated in the mobile web 🙂

No I don't think PHP is enabled for Mobile Web. However, I have been able to log onto sites like Washington DC's Metro website to get directions, maps and bus schedules.

I can post to phonescoop from my 9800. It is because I access the site through my gmail. Google converts HTML web pages to WAP and allows you to access alot more than normal. I am making this post from my 9800 right now.
