Unless I misunderstand verizon's Website, it appears that with the 9800, you cannot just get Mobile Web like before. It appears that to get Mobile web for this phone, you need to get VCast. Am I right?

vcast (which includes mobile web) is 15 a month, you can still get mobile web by itself for only 5. with the vcast you also get unlimited browser time including mobile web so you don't have to worry about your minutes. the 5 mobile web only will use minutes during peak hours.

I just got my phone today and I was surprised when they told me that I would be using my minutes to surf the web. Coming from Nextel, I could be surfing the web all I want and it didnt affect my minutes...I am glad I got the 900 minute plan but I might need more depending on how much I use this phone.

You might want to get Vcast. According to Verizons websitre, it includes GIN Airtime, Web Airtime, and Acess to the Web ( which is $5 on its own). The cost $15.

V cast is now only ten dollars a month. But if you want to add Mobile Web it will cost you an extra five dollars. If you subscribe to both you should get unlimited surfing minutes. Right?
