new software scare
i have to go in for a software updat will this effect my bitpim or any other downloads not provided by verizon?

Nope, the new software does not affect bitpim in anyway. I HIGHLY recommend getting the firmware upgrade.
Probably the only limitation you'll have is that you can't load more than 3 MB of mp3 ringtones. but thats it. everything else is fine and you even get playlists!

just to let you know i have version 2 sofware and have 23.10mb of ringtones on the phone. that's using bitpim not get it now by the way.

maybe it was the other way around, but i know that one of the versions couldn't have more than 3MB of ringtones 🙂
