Whats the difference between SW ver. V01 and V02 (update)?
I just wanted to know what the difference is between the SW versions.
I have V01 and i dont know if i should get my phone updated.
What changes or updates is in the 02?
Im waiting for my new data cable to arrive so i can mess w/ Bitpim again... but i want to see if updating the phone is another benefit. I been having trouble w/ Bitpim recently and in a desperate attempt to fix the prob, maybe i should update the phone.

Here are the reported fixes in Version 02:
FIXES THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS:
1. 9800 would sometimes powercycle when trying to access the camera or picture gallery with a mini sd card in the phone
2. 9800 would sometimes powercycle upon insertion of the mini sd while using the camera
3. 9800 would sometimes powercycle when playing or accessing mp3's with any mini sd card 512mb or larger
4. 9800 would sometimes have a complete power failure straight out of the box
5. 9800 would sometimes powercycle when accessing mp3's with a 1gb mini sd and then would have no audio once it powercycled
6. added MOD (Music On Demand)

you can also make mp3 playlists with v02 that you couldn't on v01. pretty sweet.

swtiching to v02 will limit the amount of Mp3 ringtones you can put on your phone. MAXIMUM of 3MB of ringtones if you upgrade to v02.
in v01 you COULD go over 3MB..some people still couldn't tho..

I have V01 how would i go about updating it to V02 i just purchase this phone last week

I got a replacement after I cracked my screen and it has version 02 and there is no Vcast Music on it. I don't know what version you might have but it's not standard on version 02 if you could put all of your software version specs on on the board I would like to compare them to mine
