9800 software update
hey i was wondering if anyone knew when the Vcast music update is coming out for the 9800
...
The actual software is available (v2) but the VCast Music content is not loaded into the Verizon Network yet..
Go to Verizon and ask for the software upgrade and then just sit back and wait for it to launch..

Nope -- VZNav is a GIN application -- available via GIN -- its no in the update at all.
I don't think the version matters to it.
Definitely runs under V2 and have heard it also runs under V1.

I didn't see this mentioned, but if you update your phone's software to support VCast music, you will only be able play WMA files, your phone will no longer play MP3's. This pretty much requires you to either pay for all the songs you download or convert all your MP3's to WMA yourself.

you can go into the service menu(ok-0-000000) and the go to music setting(12) and change it to mp3 and mod to have mp3 and wma
