Dialup networking clarification

Hi,

I've read the great reviews about this phone and am about to replace my V710 with it. One thing I loved about the V710 was that I could pair it via bluetooth with my iPAQ and surf (albeit at dialup speeds) anywhere I could get a signal. It seems based on other posts that this is possible (with Verizon) with the 9800 as well. Can someone please confirm this? I'd even be willing to use the USB dongle if I had to, but it seems such a shame.

I went to the Verizon store today and they (of course) didn't know. But they did say that there are two different (at least) versions of this phone (software-wise): 02 and 04. They didn't have any 04 in stock at the moment. If this is true, can anyone confirm if the 04 version does or does not cripple this feature.

Anyone else move from the V710 to this phone? If so, are you happy with the change?

Thanks.

to my knowlage 4 allows all bluetooth profiles however i havent done it...also note if your in evdo area it may not let you log on with out having a special feature to access the evdo network as a modem ... its a bit pricy but its unlimited access and can allow you to connect to a computer as a modem as well
