970 or the RAZR
My contract is up on the 24th of November and I'm debating on which phone I want to go with. Which do you think would be a better phone with the Verizon network? The Samsung 970 or the RAZR? The Sammy has the 2.0MP camera, but the RAZR has the floss factor. Now this is my only phone also.

First, the 970 hasn't even hit the Verizon stores yet (the only purchasers thus far are from Best Buy); therefore, very few people have this phone and I don't believe you can get a consensus opinion at this point. Furthermore, I don't see how anyone can advise you on a phone (the Razr) that hasn't even been released yet (and who knows when it will be released and what type of phone it will be on the Verizon network). Therefore, you are reduced to the sidelines like me and many others - waiting for opinions to sway us one way or another. My advice: if you don't want to spend the money at Best Buy for the 970 then wait a few weeks for Verizon to get it and at least make your decision on that phone at that time.

I'm waiting for the RAZR myself too. If the 2 were made avail. I'd choose the RAZR. Is the CDMA RAZR a for sure thing for Verizon? Or is it just mere speculation ?

I have heard from a Verizon Wireless employee that Verizon is NOT getting the RAZR phone...It did not pass verizon's testing. So as far as I know it is a no go for Verizon which could be a bad thing for them... 😕

The RAZR phone is not all that it appears to be. The Cingular and T-Mobile versions aren't impressive at all. Slow, very slow menues and has no enhanced voice dialing command as the E815. One drop and you can kiss your phone goodbye. 🙂
