Just got the 950, some questions...
First off...
i bought the 512 flash thingy and this other thing to play mp3 players. i have yet to install them.
#1 is the mp3 player THAT good? like is it easy to browse songs, and play them? i know it cant be as good as an IPOD...
#2 just like the ipod, do i hook my phone up to my cpu via usb cable and download songs onto it?
#3 can i listen to the mp3 player in my car? like can i hook up a cable from the phone to my blank cassette player in my car ala the ipod?
#4 how do i get ringtones? besides paying for them? i tried to "record" some sounds for ringtones, but the quality was poor.. can i use mp3s as ringtones possibly?
#5 what is the best thing about this phone IYO and the worst thing IYO

1. The MP3 player is not as good as an IPOD, but it does sound quite good with the right set of stereo headphones. The built in speakers are just so-so.
2. You can not download songs to your phone via a USB cable. There is no software that will support that capability as of yet. Files are stored via a separate card reader that is connected to your computer. The card once loaded with mp3 files then is returned to the phone.
3. If your IPOD car cassette adapter works off of a headphone jack, I would imagine that with the proper adapters you could connect the phone to this adapter. The headset socket is 2.5mm. Most headsets have a 3.5mm jack. Samsung sells a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm converter.

I briefly looked at the a970, but couldn't justify the extra expense just for the 2 mp camera. I didn't care for the flip around camera part of the phone, and the phone seemed just too boxy to me. In other words, it didn't have form appeal. You might check the a970 of this forum to get a more complete answer.
