Hey all...I was just wondering if you can view the text messages from the front screen like you can on the LG 8100. I currently have the 8100 and am looking to switch to this phone. I had the RAZOR for about half a day and realized it didn't have vibrate and ring plus the ringers (default and VZW Tones) weren't that loud to begin with, so I switched back to my 8100. Any help would be great!!! Thanks and have a good day!!!....🙂🙂

No, I'm afraid not. I have the 8100. I tried the 950 awhile back and immediately didn't like it for this reason along with others.

I have to agree with Mary here about the a950. The vx-8100 is a much better phone when it comes to text messaging. Not only is there no text message on the front LCD, the t9 entry of text is crippled by the fact that the dictionary is not expandable. I don't do text messaging and found the a950 to be a better phone than the vx-8100 in almost every other respect. I swapped the vx-8100 for the a-950 because of all the bluetooth quirks with the vx-8100 and a very cumbersome voice command system requiring way too many prompts to be useful. Still, if text messaging was important, I would have not chosen the a950, and if were you, I would stick with the vx-8100 if you are happy with it.
