Modem setup
Is anyone interested in using the phone as a modem? I was able to set up both my PDA and laptop to use the phone as a modem and it works pretty well. But, you better get one of the data upgrades (5MB or better). I browsed eBay on my PDA and that ate up about 2MB. If anyone is interested in the settings I used, I can post them in a reply.
Why do this? The phone's browser is pretty limited and even my old non-web enabled Sony Clie can browse better than the phone (after I installed a browser). Right now, I am using the IR interface, but I look forward to getting a Bluetooth dongle.

I did this with my laptop through bluetooth. It's a good handy connection when none other is around, but I wouldn't use it without a good data plan, and probably not with this phone since it's not edge capable. The connection is not very stable and only at modem speeds.
Cingular offers unlimited data for $19.99 a month, but they will most likely try to sell you a laptop connect plan for this kind of use. I'm gonna call monday to upgrade my data plan since I use it so much just on the phone alone (during my trial, I used something like 10 mb).
