Will there be an advantage to buying on-line with the price, rebate, availability etc.

Rebates are applied instantly on-line. If you got the phone at a store or via customer service, you would have to send in your rebate form and wait for your check.

Ordering off the internet is more of a gamble. Especially if you are looking to get a phone like this right when it comes out. Verizon Wireless has people process the order, and send it out regular shipping. The whole process can take up to a week and a half. Now if you can wait, you will save money. People will have the phone in hand days before you get yours in the mail.
On the other hand, if you can dish out the extra couple bucks (knowing that you will get it back) call Telesales (have it next dayed, or 2 day aired to you). Or if your lucky enough, to go to a store... pick one up right away.
You do get the rebates back in less then a couple weeks.
