Why is Verizon holding out???
Why won't VZW reps at the stores just give us a concrete date for the RAZR when you ask them?? We've got people on here like gunny giving us great info(that is more than likely right, the way things are going), yet the reps at the store can't give us a concrete release date. I just wanna make sure I'm able to get one when it comes out, that's all.

Is the thought that they really just don't know to much to take in??? Phones releases are VERY limited details and VERY last minute! "Why" you say or are thinking......well b/c the minute any store rep or cs rep hears of it they run to the boards to post all the details! Which is the last thing the "higher ups" want! Very little details about the razr have been past along for a reason! Guessing for the same reason our center (as well as all other I assume) received a "reminder" email this week bright and early that when we all became employees every last one of us signed a confidentiality agreement and that releasing details to the public about internal documents and/or public releases are grounds for immediate termination of employment!

I worked in retail for years, and as a matter of fact, I have worked for Verizon Local now for 6+ years. We've been secretive, but once the product(Fiber for example) was about to launch, we didn't hide it. We wanted everyone to know about it. I didn't mean to make anyone made with the first post, I apologize if I did. I'm glad you replied, because I was not aware of this "confidentiality agreement". Thanks for that info. Please do not take the first post as a personal attack, it was not meant that way. In my opinion, Verizon is the greatest company in the world to work for and use as a customer. I wasn't trying to insult anyone.

LOL...I love these..........just like "someone" said it was 11/25 for black friday, and then it was someone heard from someone it would be "11/28" for a monday launch....then it was going to 12/1 for a december kickoff......bla bla bla...EVERY post so far has been wrong, EVERY one of them!

I would not be surprised if they missed Christmas, it won't be released until 2006, and then somebody in this forum will say what a marketing genious Verizon is.
Bear in mind, that Verizon's largest competitors released the GSM counterpart in October 2004.

the only thing thats leading me to believe that this phone will be out soon is the fact that verizon has this phone advertised on their website. At this point its basically already promised to be out soon. So im hoping...keeping my fingers crossed...
