A few points:

1. There's really not that much of a difference between a good 65,000-color display and a typical 262,000-color display. As long as it's TFT and decent brightness and quality, most people can't tell the difference unless it's a rare image with specific kinds of subtle gradations (not your average photo). I know their first choice will be to give you a factory refurb if they have any in stock. There is a good chance they could be out of them seeing how the 8000 has been discontinued for some time. Give them a call and hopefully you can luck out 🙂

cool...yeah i did some forum searches in the 8000 and 8100 forums and it looks like they might have switched over to the 8100 as a replacement so I guess I'll just have to wait and see...thanks for your input...8 days till the RAZR!

I UNDERSTAND HOW THE INTERNAL SCREEN FOR THE WALLPAPER MAY BE 65,000 COLOR & 262,000 FOR THE VCAST & THAT'S WHY IT'S LISTED THE WAY IT IS. DO YOU THINK THAT THE RAZR V3C SCREEN FOR VERIZON IS THE SAME AS THE RAZR V3 SCREEN FOR CINGULAR? IF SO, I CAN AT LEAST GO TO CINGULAR TO CHECK IT OUT.
