Crippled again
I am sure it will come as no surprise that while the other carriers selling this phone left the BT wide open that VZW crippled theirs again. Sprint is finally selling phones with open bluetooth and have 3 new models out that are left uncrippled like their past offerings, all the GSM carriers leave their phones alone, even other CDMA carriers selling the same models don't tamper with their phones capabilities.
I know, I know, the standard response is it was all done because of a BREW agreement. So tell me, would it be so hard to block certain folders so the content that was downloaded from Get It Now was not shareable? Can't do it with the things downloaded through Vision on Sprint's offering so VZW could do it as well and give their customers the flexibility they want.
Eventually they may come around, but face it, VZW was never known for their groundbreaking phones, they are known for their network. They are by far the best for coverage in my area, maybe someday they will release phones that are up to the standards of all the other current high end offering by other carriers.
