i think i have a solution to get the phone cheaper.....
could i add another number to my family plan, buy the phone for the 200, then, terminate the extra line, that day. After that i would still have the fone and could switch it over to my #?
would this work?
...
it might, but you will have to pay an early termination fee.
...
i thought your allowed to cancel the additional line the first day you activate your phone
...
if you cancel the line, you don't get to keep the phone. no ETF, you're still under the 15 day worry free gurantee. But you'll be required to give up the RAZR and all the goodies that came with it.

there ya go..lol...now the question is, is it worth the extra money for the etf.. personally i think it might end up being a little cheaper, but could be terribly mistaken.

i think that its cheaper to just buy the phone retail instead of trying to beat the system... if you add all the expense with pro-rate, early term fee, and activ fees your better off just going retail
...
yeah probably... just out of curiosity, cuase this is how i did it..how many phone lines do u currently have with verizon?
...
Trust me, it's not worth it. I've done it before and it came out to be almost $100 more than the phone would have been retail. The best way to do it is to sell your current phone on ebay and use that money to buy the razr. But the question is... Will you like the Razr when you get it? Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I like it, but just like many Motos, the sound may not be as loud as the LG. I need to be able to hear who I am talking to, not just have a cool looking phone.

In addition to what the other people said, you wouldn't get the rebate since the line wouldn't be active when you sent it in.
