Motorola RAZR V3c

As soon as I did the live update, MPT recognized the phone.... I didn't even have to manually select the phone from the list, just the com port (modem) {motorola usb modem}.... It definitely works for Verizon... once everything was programed the software uploaded all network settings automatically, it even shows "Verizon" on the 'phone screen' user interface.

You guys are so behind. while you're here arguing w/ trolls, HoFo peeps are coming up with new hacks.....
So far, I got rid of the "verizon Wireless" banner; replacing it with "MNM101"...... I have a customized logo in lieu of the hideous 'VZW' logo shown on the outer display (flip open)..... and I even managed to customize the shut down / power up animations including sound !

Now, play very close attention to post #1, which explains the "how to" on changing the inner and outer banners + outer display pic(flip open)

post #4 links you to "how to" customize banners further + customize power up and shut down animations.

I suggest you research further.. read the rest of the thread(s) and the mistakes others have done, to make sure you wont do the same and you'll know what to do just incase.

great thanks very much, but one more question... this is prolly the dumbest thing ull ever hear but w/e... since i do not have the phone yet and will have it in another week, i am being led to believe that u cant change the wallapaper...is this so? because wen i went to the hofo link, it says to change the "flip open" picture..what is that?

You CAN change the Wallpaper. PERIOD

If you've had the v710 or any other Moto...... notice the outer display when the flip is open. For VZW moto phones it is usually the VZW logo. And that's what they mean by the outer display.

Anyway, to answer your question.... yes, the wallpaper can be changed...... the same way you would do it for the other phones.
Menu--->>> Settings--->>> Display settings --->>> Wallpaper

use p2kseem.exe (google it) but you'll need additional drivers for the v3c + pst_7.1.1, also searchable thru google or www.howardforums.com --->>> verizon --->>> motorola ..... and search.

You should also check out www.v710.org/mark . It's a really cool site w/ "how to"s and a bunch of usefull resources; suchas, ringers, wallpapers, hacks, hacking s/w and tutorial. Note that most of the tutorials and references for the E815 works for the V3c aswell.

As I stated above, I can not get the PC to detect the razr nor can I seem to set it up correctly on Phone tools. Any help would be appreciated.
