Razr hacking - anyone do it?
1. Got the "vibrate then ring" option on
2. Startup and shut down animations replaced with other animations.
3. Startup and shutdown sounds shut off.
4. Deleted some factory pics.
***Anyone figure anything else out?

I REALLY WANT TO ADD THE VIBRATE THEN RING OPTION. I FIGURED OUT HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE MOBILE TOOLS SOFTWARE & UPDATE IT TO VER.3.28. WHEN IT ASKS TO CHOOSE A PHONE I SELECTED THE CDMA VERSION SINCE I HAVE VERIZON. THE MULTIMEDIA BUTTON IS GRAYED OUT. I ASSUME, THIS IS WHERE YOU CHANGE THE VIB/RING FEATURE. SOMEONE SAID TO CHOOSE THE GSM VERSION OF THE PHONE SO THAT ALL THE FEATRES ARE AVAILABLE. MY ONLY CONCERN IS DAMAGING THE PHONE. WILL SELECTING GSM FOR A CDMA PHONE WORK? HOW DID YOU DO IT?

U have lots of forum reading to do. 😉 The MTS software along with choosing the GSM version of the RAZR V3 (even though U have Verizon CDMA RAZR V3c) will get U into the Multimedia Studio to play with pictures and ring tones. As for the ring vibrate and other goodies, U need other software which has been kept under raps in this forum. U don't have to worry about damaging your phone using the MTS software. 🙂

I did the same, and now am wondering if we can turn on DUN without shutting down EVO, to get high speed tethering.

A friend of mine tethered and he got a call from Verizon's fraud dept. I wouldn't recommend it...

Told him it was illegal, made him buy a laptop card, then when he did it again, they shut everything off. All he could do was make calls. He cancelled service and went to Nextel.

Oh yeah, I also:
5. Got rid of the "Verizon Wireless" banner on both screens.
6. Changed the backlight time to 20, 40, or 60 seconds instead of 5, 10, etc that was factory set.
7. "time and date" and "auto redial" also an option now under "initial setup" in menu.

The thing I need the most is some way to stop the phone from chirping every 3 mins when the battery is low.
This is killing us. We want to return our Razr's because of this. We want when the phone is in Silent mode and the battery is low, it should not make any noise. Right ?
