Not Able to Receive Calls

I got the RAZR yesterday and activated it and everything was good. I love the hone but I have a problem that I can't understand. Most of my immediate family has Nextel brand iDen phones and when they call me they never get through and get a message that says, "the number or code you dialed is incorrect. please try again." I wanted to know if anyone out there knew anything about this and if so how I could fix this problem. i am sure it has nothing to do with the phone. i also tried *228 like 5 times so i don't know what else to do. Thanks.

Well if you are able to reach your phone from a landline and from other Verizon Subscribers, chances are you are on "possibly" a new exchange that Verizon has opened up and Sprint/Nextels Database has not received the routing info yet.

Can wireless callers from other carriers such as Cingular and T-Mobile reach you?

I have Verizon and T-Mobile numbers. If you want me to run a test and try to call you from either just let me know.

I can receive calls from a landline phone and my friends on T-Mobiel and Cingular can reach me. the sprint phones that are not iDen can reach me also, so basically I dont know what's going on? I called Verizon tech support and they said that they would get back to me. Thanks. If you or anyone has anymore ideas, I'd really appreciate it. 😁
