Hey man,
I bought a USB cable off Ebay and it worked just fine. Don't pay more than a few bucks for it though.
Take it easy,

I wouldn't worry about getting an OEM cable either. I found a 5-Pin mini USB cord from a Palm Pilot I used a few years back. It has been working perfectly - charging, transferring and all.

I have a method I use..
Get the audio..I happen to be able to get the actual ringtones and not edit anything myself. Then I go to funformobile.com and send it to my phone as a pix message. Save it and its that easy.

How do you save it? I've used funformobile but I can't download the ringer onto my phone for some reason. It tries to connect to the web to retrieve it or I have to go to "Pix Place" - neither of which connect.

Well for some reason when I preview ringtones on my computer it opens them in Windows Media player and it gives me the option to save. Funformobile sends it to my phone as a pix message. While it is playing go to options and save soumnd. Then go in and set it for whatever you want to use it for. Audio quality is really good for me.

If you have a txt package you can use funformobile and upload files, then send them to the phone. Save the sound and you then can assign it as a ringtone.

Look on MPTworks posting on December 15 from fizk on this forum and follow the links. There is a ton of information on this issue. I used MPT and I can transfer my mp3 files to my phone via usb cable. Hope that helps...
