Will Alltel Razr work 100% with Verizon network?

Since I feel so violated by VZW push their CRAP red and black UI on us I am curious if the Alltel version will work out of the box with no issues whatsoever.

no, and here is the problem. The phone is technically very capable of using verizon's network, however verizon policy will stop you from hooking it up. If you could your data stuff would not function correctly, ex: get it now. But that all aside this is why you cannot hook the alltel up to verizon. 911 gps laws. Anytime verizon orders phones from a manufacturer or supplier they must be loaded into the system telling the system that that phone is 911 enabled. Alltel esn will not be loaded into our data base and you will not be able to get verizon to add it for you. If you take it to a store or try to do it it will say failed, non 911 compliant. so no you cannot use it. Before they started this law we could put alltel and sometimes sprint phon...

Guess I start considering other cellular companies now. We have completely lost our love for Verizon for installing the terrible red user interface.

If you live in a state that offers Alltel, I say jump on board. You will fall head over heals with the RAZR for Alltel, Full OBEX(w/o hack) can send full and partial mp3s as ringtones sending them via BT. Also it supports AAC. also you can access your gmail account and can download pics, music files and videos to your phone.
