Mobile Phone Tools
After reading all the posts on Mobile Phone Tools I am trying it out. I installed drivertool.zip.
I then installed version 2.3 of MPT. It then live updated to version 2.5b. I did not at first register. I read that I should update to version 2.8? How is that done? I chose the GSM version of the razr thinking that this will give me file transfer capability. It did not. I have a picture of the razr and I keep getting the message initializing on it. So, how do I get version 2.8 and what phone do I pick (and how do I change it now) to get file transfer possiblities?
Thanks, MIF.

MPT version 3.28 is the updated version. Go to http://www.bvrp.com and get updates.

Ok, I went there and did not see anything that mentioned a 3.28 update. What am I missing? I looked at support, patches/updates and saw no mention of 3.28 update on any of the choices.

Open MPT and go to setup/generalsetup/communication, click "change modem" and click next. Choose the correct modem from the list and click next. Check the "Do not automatically select the driver, select from a list" and click next. You should see "cdma phone" on the left and model #'s on the right. Choose "v3c", click finish and you should be all set for the multimedia to work. Let me know if it works for you. 😁

I updated my MPT to 3.28 but I do not have the option to select different phone/drivers. I went to the site but did not find a driver update download. ??

Never mind, I read the thread again and found where the driver is changed. I also searched a bit and found the info I wanted on changing the MPT skin to a RAZRv3
Thanks

Question - did you register?
Possible solution - run the live update again. I started messing around with the MPT program today. I was using the 3.23. The program performed a live update to 3.25b. Then I ran the update again for 3.28.
