Alright so I have already been through quite a few phones in a short time, but each new one seems to have more problems. Went through two e815's before they finally let me trade to the Razr. My first Razr had a huge scratch on the screen and the battery would go dead in a day. Traded it in and now the side buttons on the new one ratttle a little bit. Its not that bad but the first one didn't do it. Would you just let it be or take it back for another one?
...
Take it back. Don't settle for a phone with defect nows that will only deteriorate even more over time. I very much like the RAZR, and since the first batch is what is out their, I am surprise that their will be defective phones (granted it seems that the RAZR V3c is chock full of defects).
Currently on my second 2nd and will mostly like exchange for a 3rd.
...
Take it back and exchange it. You paid for a new phone, and that's what you should get. It's not your fault they are having these issues.
Personally, I consider myself lucky (knock on wood) that my razr is defect free so far. i bought the 710 when it first came out, and went through four of them in two weeks.
Don't worry about annoying them, you are not being unreasonable.
...
My problems have been as follow:
(They are reasonable, I still feel like I'm annoying though)
1) First e815 would freeze up, and then reboot itself
2) Second e815 did the same, they let me get a new phone and I chose the Razr.
3) First Razr had a huge scratch on the screen and the battery would go dead in a day.
4) Second Razr was just not right. If you held it to your ear and shook it you could hear all kinds of things rattling.
5) Currently on third Razr. This is the first one I have seen to have the plastic all over it when they pulled it out of the box. So far it seems ok.

New update. I have the bouncy keypad now but the hinge doesn't wiggle now.
...
That bouncy keypad has to be the most common issue. My sister bought hers the day after I order it. Her's is solid. My 2nd is in better shape than the first (The whole top portion was flimsy and loose), but not solid like my sisters. I'm taking this one back Monday.
...
I tried it last night and returned it already this morning. Key pad was loose on the one I tried too. I'm wondering, even if you get one that feels solid, how long till it loosens up? This phone was hyped up so much that I HAD to try it, but that's all it was, IMO, hype, everything else about it is junk.
...
I had already traded one in this morning and took it back a few hours later and she went to the back and opened some more and said they all had a "little play" in them somewhere. I know I'm being anal but **** when I pay 200 dollars for a phone make it right!
...
+1...there are ones with much less "play" out there. trust me they gave me that exact same BS line.
...
I think I may just go to another store. The only thing is it shows all your replacements in the computer right?
...
Don't act like they are doing a favor for you by replacing it. If you weren't the one returning it, someone else would have. You paid for a new phone and you deserve it. Make sure that when you exchange in, they give you a brand new one and not a "refurbished" one. Insist on it. BTW, how do they have refurbished ones already?
...
yes they have refurbished ones ready. although IMO how could they be refurbished 2 weeks into production? when i got my new one they tried to give me one in those nice lil white boxes, i opened it up and it looked brand new, but that keypad was looser than a $20 hooker. bring the box and accessories and do a direct box swamp for free!
...
Well I'm going back Monday and if I get another Razr I'm inspecting it before bringing it home or I'm getting a different phone. I'm tired of dealing with this crap. I like the phone but ghhesh...This will be number 4.
...
Ok so I went back today and I think I finally got a "good phone." No bouncy keypad, no rattling buttons. 🙂
