I already returned this trash (v3c) 1 time and it still has problems .... should I go on a returning spree and return it over and over untill I get the right one or should I just get the "LG: VX9800 THE V"...

thanks alot people for the input

As far as the V goes, I would pass. I had the Treo 650 until recently and the size of the phone gets old very quickly. I can't imagine carrying a brick like that around all the time.

As for the Razr, I've had for over two weeks and it has been perfect. Knock on Wood. I would give it one more shot, third time is a charm. This time check it out fully before you leave the store. If you still have the box, bring it back with the box and insist on a new one, not a refurbished one. Check the keypad to make sure it's on there correctly as that seems to be the number one complaint.

Let me ask you this though, does the phone do everything you want it to do? Where is it lacking for you?

okay thanks.... the lacking on my phone is when the speaker volume reachers 6-7 the person on the other end says my voice is cutting ..... and the keypad with the numbers are a little loose kind of bouncy...

when I returned my phone the first time the guy brought out a new box. .... the box looked new but it had a white sticker on it.... does that indecate something?? and how can I tell if its a refrebushed one or new one .... thank you...

I haven't experienced any of the problems you are having, so I am going to take a stab and say the yours is the one that isn't right.

I believe referbished ones come in a white box, not a retail box. I went through the same thing you are going through with the 710, and they will try to give you a referbished one, but insist on a new one.

I, personally think that this is one of the best phones I have owned and I go through about two phones a year. It's solid and reliable so far, everything you need in a phone, not a mp3 player.

Good Luck

I don't know what the sticker means, but it might help to check the contents of the box. See if it has all the literature that comes in a new box, along with a new battery. If it's brand new, they should ask you for the original box too.

refurb= white box.
new= check all the contents and make sure everything is still in the bag like the battery, charger, etc.

i had 2 of the same problems you had: horrible keypad, distortion in the mic, but i also had a problem where the battery clip was not ever nearly aligned. on my 3rd razr everything is perfect. do not mess with the subpar razr's you have now until you get a perfect one. just bring the old box and its contents for a direct swap. try going to a different location too.

I am still in the 15 day worry free quarntee's but they don't ask for my box..
They just put the old one in the box they got the new one out of and wrap the return reciept around it.

I would take your chances with the razr. Mine works great. I had the v and it is worse then the razr. I went through 4 of them. They were all junk and all of them had different problems. So I upgraded to the treo but it was too bulky for me and hard to hear on. I am in the razr now and I LOVE IT!!!! Trust me. Don't do the V.

Just remember, if there isn't a battery in the new RAZR's box, it's not new.

Turned my razr in today to uscc, bluetooth sucks, would not talk to computer, would not link with other razr, left top corner coming up, speaker not that great, not a $200 phone.
