PC Connectivity?

I'm looking to upgrade to a new RAZR if Motorola doesn't announce anything too amazing at the CES next week. The only thing that is stopping me and pushing me to a E815 is the lack of a SD card slot. I really don't care too much about the extra storage, its really because I can put things such as ring tones and pictures onto my phone from there.

I talked to the people at my local store, and all they could say was that there is no way for me to do it, but I can download ringtones from "Get It Now" (which is a complete slap in the face).

Is there anyway for me to do the things that I want, such as transfer ring tones and pictures to my PC other then a pre-determined list of songs from "Get It Now" and vzwpix.com? If so, how (so I kn...

I think what EtherBoo implies is that there are many, many posts which describe how to get ringtones and wallpapers to your phone without using "get it now". I can think of 3 different ways that have been talked about quite a bit.
1. MPT
2. Bluetooth
3. Email
MIF.

I tried pairing up my girlfriend's Razr to my PC and the Razr didn't recognize my PC. I'm assuming I need to download MPT to be able to get all the capabilities of bluetooth to work right?

Hi DoubleHelix,
Interesting site, but I just don't want to give out my phones email address as I am afraid of spam (even though they state no spam - I don't know them so how can I trust them?) and others getting the address (people who work there - get fired, or just selling the email address). They should let us what they have and then convert the music to a file we can save on our computers and email the ringtones ourselves.

OK well I have used them for the past year and have never gotten one bit of spam at all but I respect your concern.

I just found the site to be the easiest way I have ever come across to transfer files and ring tones and all you pay is for a pix/flix message to Verizon for receiving the message. I think the charge is either 10 or 25 cents versus 1.99 for each "get it now" download.
This site has no content - you upload midi or mp3 files to them and they send it to you in the proper format for your phone.
Same for video and still photos for wallpaper etc.
They re-size it to fit your phone so this is not a content provider at all.
