I feel like an idiot asking this but I'm going to anyway. I have the v3c and just got the h3 headset and I can't get my phone to recognize it. I thought maybe it was the h3 headset so I got out my other headset that I used with my 710 and I can't get the razr to recognize either one. What am I doing wrong???

are you pairing the headset?

with my v3c, I was trying to get it to recognize my jabra headset and kept trying to just have the phone search for devices, then it would search and say 0 devices found. I was getting sooooo irratated because my v710 recognized it. I looked in the manual (yes thats how fed up I was) and I forgot to put the bluetooth headset into pairing mode before I searched .... duhhh.

hopefully that is your problem so it is easily fixable 🙂

I had to push a tiny button with a pencil tip in my headset to get it in pairing mode, then I searched on my phone and it found it right away.

good luck!

ps, let us know how the h3 headset is. where did you get it? how much? thx!

I paid $135 for the h3 on ebay, it's black ( you can get silver) and smaller than the hs820. It looks really cool the only problem is I did not get a manual with it so I don't know how to get it into pairing mode and I can't find my manual on the 820- they are similar in setup so I thought I might be able to figure it out with the manual for the 820 but I'm s.o.l. A big plus with the h3 is the charge cord is the same as for the phone, not the other kind like the 710 that always pops out.

To get my H500 into pairing mode, I have to hold down the smart button on the headset for about 5 seconds, until the light is solid, once it is solid, have your phone look for the device. If it does find it, pair it and use the code 0000.

Hope that works for you.

It worked!!! Thanks for the info, so far so good with the h3. It is really lightweight, you hardly know it's there.

Right On! Good Luck with it. The newer ones are amazing. With my H500 the range is supposed to be 30 feet, and believe it or not, it is.
