20 second bootup? Anyone else?

Hi folks,

Got two Razrs from my Verizon store yesterday. Really like the phones - exchanged a couple of LG 8100's because I could never get the volume right, and the speaker phone echoed according to everyone I called.

Pretty sure I'm going to keep 'em, but... what's up with the boot up? I just timed it, and it takes a full twenty seconds to go from power off to ready to dial.

Any suggestions?

By the way, is it recommended to turn off EVDO to save battery power?

Thanks for your help.

yeah it does ttake a little while to boot up. Its normal, same thing with my LG VX8000.. And when it comes to turning off evdo. It is reccommended to turn it off to conserve battery. But on the contrary u wont be able to send or recieve txts or pix msgs. You cant do anything basically but make and recieve phone calls. Hope this helps.

20 seconds really isn't that bad. I have a friend with an old Samsung that would take like 30-35 seconds to boot.. we timed it once 'cus it seemed so long.

But 20 secs ain't great either. My Nokia 6256 takes 'bout 15 seconds.
