Talking Phone Feature

Verizon's RAZR: I have returned this phone already because of the talking phone feature was not working properly and the speakerphone had an echo. Now my 2nd RAZR's speakerphone works great but the talking phone feature still does not. It did work when I left the Verizon store but decided to quit on me. Does anyone else have this problem? It will speak the digits while only in 'alarm mode' only and no names are ever spoken when people are calling. I have tried everything. Any suggestions?

I only see two talking phone features: 1.speak aloud the numbers of the keypad when pushed and 2.speak aloud the name of Contact entries when you highlight them. Nothing about names spoken when people are calling.. where did you see this?
As for the feature not working at all, I had the same problem until I turned on the key volume after previously having it all the way off.

My apologies gizzle. I thought the phone did have that feature when calls were coming in. Does yours only work in alarm mode? Sometimes when I receive a text, it will display the name from who it is from, but when I reply, there is no reply address. Has this happened to you? Any problems with your phone?

No need for apologies.. I think we're all here to get to know our new phones. I can use the talking phone feature in all modes but 'vibrate only'.
I've never replied to a text in which I've had the contact name and number stored and their name didn't register in the address box. If a text was sent from vtext.com and the sender didn't fill in a return address, when you hit reply it wouldn't give you a return address. Maybe your friends sent a text from there? 😕
No real problems with my phone.. I've had a bunch of phones and for looks, call clarity & ease of use, this Moto is sweeeeet! One odd software thing.. if I have my phone set to lock upon start up and also have a greeting entered, when I turn it on and close the flip it'll bypass ...
