😁 In case anyone else wondered. You can answer incoming calls om speakerphone when flip is closed.
Set "call settings" to MULTI KEY answer "YES".
And when phone rings, press the Smart Button and hold for a second, walla!!! 😉

Has anyone else got this to work? I have set- call settings->in-call setup->answer options->multi key to "on", still cannot get phone to answer by pressing smart button. Am I doing something wrong, or am I just plain stupid?

Okay, I just tried this again to make sure I'm not mistaken. IT WORKS PERFECT EVERY TIME. Make sure speakerphone is on. When it rings, press and hold the smart button... almost instantly, the call is answered. (Release the smart button). This all happens pretty quick, so it really is useful. Let me know if I can describe this any better for you guys.

AND... just in case any of you have had that speaker-phone echo problem, I have the fix from Motorola V3c help line and VZW. It has worked on every V3c I've done it on to this point. (which is performing a "Master Reset" within the Security menu, Code#000000 It doesn't wipe out your contacts) 😁

Oh my gosh I tried it and it just worked. Thanks figuresmith01. Fluffybunny, try holding the smart button. I couldn't get mine to work either but I wasn't holding it long enough. Hope this helps. Jeni

You're welcome Jeni. 😁 It only made since to me to try this since it worked on another newer VZW phone I tried earlier this year (sch-a950).
I tinkered last night and was excited when it worked. I knew everyone would be happy about such a great feature find, especially when most of these V3c threads are about what this poor VZW phone CAN'T do, RIGHT?

Thanks to both of you! The mistake I made was to not have my speakerphone activated before I closed the flip. It will not work without the speakerphone activated. You have made a great phone even better.

I haven't bought this phone yet, but I was wondering about that, you must have read my mind, because I just logged on to ask that very question, but I was also wondering if you can make an out going call without opening the flip, and using voice dial, if that is possibe that would make it even better, but it is not a deal breaker for me, I am still getting the phone in a few months reguardless, the childish negative reviews haven't swayed me in the least, I'm getting it through Alltel as soon as they take over my current carrier (Midwest Wireless). 😉
