Really confused about vibrate only mode on Verizon Razr (pink)

I have all my contacts set up on various rings and is always set on "master volume". When I go somewhere where I can't have my phone ring out loud, I thought using the smart keys on the left side and switching it to "vibrate only" would take care of not having my phone be heard. However, the phone still rings, even though I have it set on vibrate only. Am I doing something wrong?

With your phone set to vibrate, go into "menu>settings & tools>sound settings>Ring styles>Vibrate Only Detail". Then scroll down to Ringer ID's and make sure it's set to "Off". That will make all your contacts ring the same when in Vibrate mode.
