Data with Phone Tools 4.0
So what did I just do?
Got Phone tools working perfectly and clicked on the Internet tab to see what it would do. It asked me if I wanted to download VENTURI 2.
So I did and eventually asked it to install and also install a fallback connection.
Pulled my internet connection from my laptop and went to surf the net while tethered to my phone with the USB cable. It failed the first time and said something about "make sure you have an account or the GPRS network is available.
(I am in an EVDO active area). It asked me if I wanted to use the fallback connection so I said yes.
I connected to the net at about 230k after watching the phone dial #777.
In my online bill viewer at verizonwireless.com it shows no usage.
