Motorola RAZR V3c

does anybody knows if the motorola software PHONE TOOLS is going to work with the verizon model? 😳 I have it with my razr from cingular and it works perfect. 😳

Was wondering if I can use my New Every Two $100 off if I order on phone, or is this something only done in the store. Thanks in advance.

For one, there is a known technical problem with ota. Honestly, I don't know the specifics, but the shipment we got today did not allow us to ota it. We had to manually program it.

Secondly, the phone is really slow. Accessing the menu creates a considerable lag.

No MP3 player, as was rumored.

That's about it. Everything else is same ol, same ol.

Well gunny and system shock, mine was officially ordered. I AM SO EXCITED. Although im not aloud to get it till christmas/hanukah (im 17) and my rents were like instead of u payin so much now, well pay and just give it to u hanukka, so how can i refuse... IM SO EXCITED!

Hey guys, I am thinking about getting this phone, but my only concern is this non-OBEX Bluetooth issue. I do use Bluetooth headsets, but my main use for Bluetooth is syncing contacts and loading customized displays and ring tones.

Here are my questions:

1) Does the Bluetooth service on this phone support contact syncing even though it does not have OBEX

2) If not, then is there anyway of syncing contacts without manually entering them (I have well over 500 and I am not inputting them in by hand)?

3) Are we just completely out of luck with uploading graphics and mp3s directly into this phone?


Questions 1) 2) are real important tom my decision to get this phone or look else where. 3) is just a geeky nicety.

I see the $100 online discount, and it says it's for a limited time only. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long this promotion will last? While I'm dying to get this phone, I'm semi-broke and would prefer to wait a few weeks to read all of your insightful reviews and make sure it's as good as it looks! I'd just hate to wait too long and get stuck paying an extra $100. Thanks in advance...

I successfully ordered the razr from 611 as an upgrade to my account, also billed to my account. Rep messed up the shipping and did regular shipping and I wanted overnight but he couldn't change it. Oh well.

If you want to order it from 611, just keep calling. Somebody you talk to will take your order.

now that it's been released on the web, should the *611 reps have it available to order at 6am in the morning? Or do you think they'll still tell me that it's not gonna be available until January??

I called the VZW phone sales twice today, two different reps...first rep said Razr was online only and phone sales wouldn't start until the 17th.

Second time I was able to order two Razr's and port two numbers as well, which can't be done online. She gave me the option for overnight shipping...$15 per phone.

I declined (getting mine on Fri.) but I am sure some of you might be interested in getting a Razr by tomorrow.

VZW telephone rep said I could buy the Razr over the phone starting the 17th. How could this be if they are available in stores starting on the 12th?

I've got to switch to Verizon soon cuz I've only got till the 18th to ditch Sprint so I can get my money back from them.

Verizon announced a special number exclusively for the razr. I called the number, and was connected to a Verizon rep. I asked to get 3 for my family and I, and the rep added them to my cart for a subtotal and started laughing. I asked what was so funny. She said since it hasn't officially been released, their computers haven't been updated with the new prices. My price? $106,000 a phone! HAHA! NO JOKE! So, they're going to call me back later today (12/6) and let me purchase it that way, with the discount, and 2 day shipping.

I just ordered my RAZR from *611!!!!!!!!!!

They gave me the option of billing it to my account!!! 😳 I couldn't believe it!!

I'm happy I didn't have to use the old credit card. They had 2 overnight shipping options, 9.99 for guaranteed by 3:00pm, or 12.99 for guaranteed by 10:30am. Guess which one I did? 😳

Stupid employee phone online store has a cut off date for orders of Dec. 9th, 3 days before the Razr becomes available. Dayum.

Process an order (specifically an upgrade for the V3) while having it billed to my account instead of having to use my card?

I am sure it will come as no surprise that while the other carriers selling this phone left the BT wide open that VZW crippled theirs again. Sprint is finally selling phones with open bluetooth and have 3 new models out that are left uncrippled like their past offerings, all the GSM carriers leave their phones alone, even other CDMA carriers selling the same models don't tamper with their phones capabilities.

I know, I know, the standard response is it was all done because of a BREW agreement. So tell me, would it be so hard to block certain folders so the content that was downloaded from Get It Now was not shareable? Can't do it with the things downloaded through Vision on Sprint's offering so VZW could do it as well and give their c...
