Turning off the blinking light

How do you turn off the light that blinks on the earpiece, it is very annoying when in the car at night or in a dark room.

'START'
'Settings'
'Sounds & Notifications'
'Notifications' on bottom
Choose the event from the drop down menu.
ie: Messaging: New text message
uncheck the 'Flash light for' box.

each event is set separately.
