I had nextel as my provider. In receiving tex's there was a delay in receiving them, usually a 30min to a 2hr delay. Does Cingular and this phone experience the same problem?

Also which provider is best, comparing signal strength and features?

Cingular v. T-Mobil

No delay in text. It takes about 2 to 5 seconds. Cingular has completed the integration of the old AT&T towers and spectrum in most markets added capacity and coverage. Some markets doubled cell sites. This will also translate to faster EDGE speeds.

Hope that helps.
Although, I am bias to Cingular.

Tmobile has the better plans Cingular has the better coverage area. find out which one gives you better coverage and go from their. I have had both and the only reason i got tmobile is because they work great in my basement apartment and they were ranked 2 in my area according to consumer reports. Cingular was fine everywhere else and there rollover plan set it up for me to have 1000 minutes for around 40 and i always had interstate coverage.
