Cingular 8125 SIM Card Problems

Over the last 6 months, I've replaced FOUR SIM Cards in my 8125, as the phone suddenly stops getting a satellite signal -- it just keeps searching and searching...(and when I put my husband's card in, the signal returns with full bars). Everytime I call Cingular, they tell me to go to my local Cingular store and get a new card. This last time, the nice Cingular store clerk told me I was burning up the cards and it would just keep happening, so she called Cingular for me and got them to send me a new phone. Is anyone else having problems with burning up their SIMS? I'm wondering if I just got a bad phone or if it's the software I'm downloading?

I burned one SIM in my phone. No problems since though.

im havin a similar problem. they told me to go to a store and then have them replace my sim card. i am going to try that today and ill let you know
