Motorola i870 / i875

ok so i work with almost every phone in the industry, and link them to a variety of vehicles on the market today. in my experience, and i dont know why, motorola makes some excellent phones as far as bluetooth connectivity is concerned...but they dropped the ball on the i870.
the phone drops the bluetooth connection, the sound quality is terrible over the lexus system anyway, and overall 100% of my clients have been disappointed with the bluetooth connectivity. to boot, when you make a call from the nav system, the phone takes atleast 10 seconds to actually connect 90% of the time.
that being said, i sincerely hope that motorola releases an update for all of this, or if any of you know any way to make it better, post it on here s...

This phone blows!
I was part of a test study for this phone. it freaking sucks!! Slow, bad signal, big and clumsy, flip swich does not always work. No good!! Bluetooth sucks ass too

Bluetooth Compatability With Apple Computers
Hi I recently ordered a Boost Mobile i875. And I might at the the reviews for the 870 on this website are phenominal. But my question is this maybe someone can help me out. I own a G3 iBook, and also a G4 iMac and a G5 Powerbook. I know you are all probably like why in god's name does he have so many but regardless ... I was wondering how the bluetooth works with any of my computers because I have plenty of ringers and wallpapers on my computer I want to put on my new phone once it gets here. And If anyone could help me out in the slightest I would really appreciate it.

i870 Firmware Update now visible at Motorola iDEN Website
NOTE: This message also applies if you are, or know someone who's an i860 user.
You definitely should check the phone's software version regularly by hitting Pound, Star, Menu, and Right at the Ready Screen. Check your i870's software version. If it's earlier than R5B.00.04, I strongly urge you to go to http://idenphones.motorola.com/iden/support/s oftware/html/firmware_utility.html to download the R5B.00.04 Firmware Update.
Again, the version as of today is R5B.00.04 for i870, whether Nextel or Southern Linc. i860 users are encouraged to update their phone's firmware as well, since a newer version of the firmware is also available for the i860.
Tell me what you think. Be sure you update the firmware if you own an i870.

problems transfering videos/mp3's from my computer to my phone
Hello all. For some reason, I can't transfer music or videos from my computer onto my phone. I downloaded what I had to download when I bought my phone and when I put the memory card into the computer, it looks as if it is transfering the music onto the memory card but when i put the memory card back into the phone, there is no music on it. I also have no idea how to transfer videos from my computer onto my phone! Can someone please e-mail me at [email protected] because I am totally lost and I hate this phone right now!
can't download anything!!!
I just got this phone and i like evarything on it but it won't let me download anything from the web, i try to get ringers in all formats and the phone will not accept any of them. I tried peoples advice and made my own ringers by converting and using an uploader that i'v used for years and downlading the same ringers but nothing has worked so far, can someone please help me!!!

music not converting
i go into roxio and try to convert songs from a cd i made especially for this.. i try to insert the tracks i want into my f:\audio drive.. but its screwing with my head.. at first i would try to add them.. it would be about to start then the song would just say complete without doing anything.. the files wouldnt move to my memory card.. now anytime i try and even click on my f drive to get to audio and add tracks it says.. insert disc to drive f.. do i need another part? do i need to click something somewhere? please help

I love this phone, when I put pictures on the memory card they show on the phone but can't assign to people in my phonebook. What file size does the picture need to be to assign in the phone book?

Bluetooth Modem
😕 Does anybody know how to use the i870 as a bluetooth modem??? I have a Sony Clie ux-50 and want to use the i870 to get on the net. I could do it with the v815.

Overall I believe review was accurate and am impressed with the stature of the tests the you performed. I would have liked to have heard more about the key differential features but those are more Carrier specific rather than phone specific. I will definitely look for more of your reviews. Thanks
adding song that arent on a cd, or from itunes???
how do i add songs that i got saved in itunes to my phone? i no how to do it if it is a cd, but i got some songs that are not on cd.
trouble with mp3
Im having trouble getting the roxio to work, the drag and drop icon is on the desktop, but it wants to write to my D: drive, which is my burner and not the media card. Is there any other way to add music to the media card?

MP3 Player Pausing Problem
I'll be listening to music and all of a sudden it will stop and when i look at the screen the song will be paused. When I push play to start it again it will constantly switch from pause to play back and forth really fast. I find i have to take the card out and reset it. Anyone have this problem too?
MP3's don't work
I have the 512mb micro sd card and when I put 46 songs on it all formated the same, and only 12 worked might anyone know why. Any help will be apreciated.

How to delete "Nextel" text in the display
