6700 camera

I was reading an overall review of the 6700 on mobileburn.com and am curious about the camera functionality. I don't care for my current camera because as you frame a shot (ex: little niece doing something silly) you push the button and it may snap the picture in about 1 second (...one thousand one...) or almost 3 seconds if the camera decides it needs to set off its "disco" flash to properly illuminate. Regardless, the kid has moved by then.

What type of delay do you see after pressing the button?

I think I previously read that the flash just lights up all the time on this phone. Is that the case and/or does the flash delay the camera's shutter additional time?

It looks like there is also a sports mode or something to that effect. I know its not going to be a top of the line digital, but more camera feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

I havent got to really play with the camera much. There is a little bit of a delay to save the picture. It also takes a 1600x1280 pic, which says it is 2mp. The pics come out great. I was really surprised by the quality. Better then any camera phone I have used, except the A800. When you put the flash on, the light stays on then will go brighter when you snap the shot. It is a pretty bright flash and takes a decent night time pic also.

The 6700's camera/video is excellent. To be honest, it's the best camera/video phone to date that I've ever had. I'm sure others will agree.
