UTStarcom PPC-6700 / XV-6700 / HTC Apache
A Few Questions about this phone.

I just got this phone a couple of days ago. First thing is I LOVE the phone, absolutely wonderful. Couple of problems. When I TXT, it will send me a notification saying that it was sent, and i have to dismiss it, then i will get a TXT saying SUCCESS, now i dont want that, It's basically sending myself a TXT, and i was always check it thinking its another txt, any of you know how to get rid of that? Another problem, I used ActiveSync to hook it up to my computer and was able to load some songs on to my phone, only like 4 because i dont have a memory card yet, I can only open them with either the TCPMP app that i downloaded or the Windows Media Player, when I go in to Pictures and Sounds and then look for the file under My Music, it wont show up, I even moved it to that file on my PC so i can find it there, I want to assign one of these MP3's to by my ringtone but I dont know how. I left the ActiveSync on and i tried to install AIM on my computer and it didnt run down to my 6700 like it did when i installed the TCPMP

To fix that txt msg issue, you have to open up any of your txt messages (incoming, sent etc) and click menu at the bottom to the right; select MMS configuration, and there adjust your settings and/or include signature.
Concerning ringtones, I have only downloaded the FREE FOUR ringtones available on microsoft.com. You save it and run the program on your pc. Afterwards connect your device to the pc and sync the file to your phone. Then open up file explorer from your phone under programs, you should see the file called "ringtones" click on it, extract the file and automatically it drops into your phone's ringtones settings. Goodluck.
